Online course: Cross Cutting Themes 

 

This module aims to provide participants with an overview of the 2014-2020 European Structural and Investment Funds' (ESIF) Cross Cutting Themes. This course is free to access for anyone registered on Third Sector Support Wales' Knowledge Hub, and you can look forward to further courses being added in the new year.

Knowledge Hub gives voluntary organisations in Wales easy access to a range of online information, networking and learning

 

Knowledge Hub is an easy to use tool to help voluntary organisations upskill, learn and access high quality information on key areas such as running your organisation, volunteering, funding and influencing.

As well as a selection of information sheets and online courses, Knowledge Hub also gives you the opportunity to network with peers and have discussions on topics that are important to you.

To take advantage of the new Knowledge Hub, register at thirdsectorsupport.wales. Knowledge Hub is completely free to use for anyone working or volunteering in the voluntary sector in Wales, or for those wanting to get involved in the sector for the first time.

Framework for Woodland Skills Instructors and Psychotherapists

 
Pen-y-Graig Woodland Centre is seeking to appoint a Framework of suitably qualified and experienced service providers, as detailed in the specification, to deliver an individually designed programme of woodland skills, arts/creative training and psychotherapy support throughout the duration of the Framework (until 31st December 2021).

The programme will support a new health care supply chain based in the Gwent region of Wales in an ancient woodland in Penallt, Monmouthshire. The pilot will be focussed on the rehabilitation of front-line emergency service staff, NHS staff and veterans recovering from acute mental health conditions such as post-traumatic stress.

This pilot programme is funded through the Welsh Government’s Co-operation and Supply Chain Development Scheme – Rural development Programme 2014-2020, which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Welsh Government.

Horizon 2020 Green Deal


 
The European Commission has officially launched the Horizon 2020 funded European Green Deal call. The projects funded under this call are expected to deliver results with tangible benefits in ten areas. These include eight thematic areas reflecting the key work streams of the European Green Deal:
  • Increasing climate ambition
  • Clean, affordable and secure energy
  • Industry for a clean and circular economy
  • Energy and resource efficient buildings
  • Sustainable and smart mobility
  • Farm to fork
  • Biodiversity and ecosystems
  • Zero-pollution, toxic-free environments
There are two horizontal areas - strengthening knowledge and empowering citizens, which offer a longer-term perspective in achieving the transformations set out in the European Green Deal.

Deadline: 26 January 2021

Organisations based in the UK remain fully eligible for each topic under this call. For further details on specific call topics, timelines and guidance on how to get involved, please visit the European Commission’s website.
