 Dear friend,
Resuming these newsletters a week ago [the essay entitled What If?] after a break since September has been quite gratifying. The injury I described then which "put me out of commission" for over a month, however, was not the only reason for the delay.
No. In September I was inspired...feeling 'ready to go'...but inspiration isn't aways enough. I was awaiting an authentic movement from deep within myself. And I can no longer force that or make it up. Therefore I didn't write essays nor send out newsletters. I practiced trusting my own movement vs. some arbitrary timeline.
Now I'm feeling congruent with the inspiration from months ago: I'd had a breakthrough in working with the woman who has been my spiritual mentor and non-local energetic healer since 1998 and realized that I myself am capable of teaching the breathwork that I've been practicing and learning from her for over two decades.
That I do not have to have her unique abilities to share the benefits of this practice. Indeed, the real "teacher" of this breathwork approach is...the breath itself.
That which has animated us since the very beginning
....since we first emerged from our mother's womb, and vulva.
...with our first inhale coinciding with our first cry.
...those countless intakes of oxygen into our trillions of cells and other physical systems...alternating with the same number of outputs of carbon dioxide and other waste products and toxins needing to be eliminated.
META PERSEPCTIVE
My own cosmology is that we incarnate into a quantum game of hide-n-seek somehow set-up aeons ago...where the task is to extricate ourselves from the seductive realities and remember who we actually are. Who I actually am. Who you actually are.
And the game is 'rigged' in ways to make that difficult. But it certainly is possible...and becoming ever easier as the seductive and 'rigging' forces crumble and disintegrate along with the rest of reality.
One of the various 'tricks' of this game has been for breathing to be so inconspicuous...so obvious as to be rendered rather 'invisible'.
Over the millennia the cloaking of the breath's importance has truly obscured it as portal into infinite divinity...actually into e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g and likewise n.o.t.h.i.n.g.n.e.s.s..which actually seem to be the same thing. (Which is of course utterly paradoxical...but what do we expect when the cosmos seems to be an immense living Paradox!)
A TIME OF UNCERTAINTY & FLUIDITY
In my deepest meditations, I sense that everything is changing...more specifically: everything is Ending, with what is emerging yet to-be-determined
Because, everything that is false
...based on made-up stories, illusions and projections
...that is rooted in the Story of Separation
is utterly unsustainable.
These forms cannot stand because they were always delusional...always a figment of someone or something's imagination....held up by the pervasive pretense of the consensual reality.
Therefore, I will declare "Good Riddance!"
Yes, I acknowledge that much that crumbles and collapses will be experienced as Loss. I know: truly painful. The challenges of letting go...again and again...will not be easy.
It is going to be frickin' hard.
As full participants in the birth of
The-More-Beautiful-World-Our-Hearts-Know-Is-Possible
[Charles Eisenstein's potent phrase]
....we are going to experience it as both the baby being born
...and the mother giving birth
...as the friends and grandmothers and aunties
...as the midwives and birth doulas
...not avoiding the blood and pain that accompany virtually all actual births.
It is so.
...so, let us reflect on
what do we gain?
We are trading in an absolutely obsolete, dysfunctional, often-awful reality
...for one arising from deep harmony
...a Phoenix from the unfolding 2020-somethings ashes.
I don't what this is going to be like either,
but I am committed to finding out
...to being as highly-engaged a midwife/birth-doula as I can be
in letting go of the Known, the Dying and the Dead
to explore new possibilities
new potentials
new gifts
new Blessings.
The Past
the Old Paradigm
had its turn
and its Expiration Date
is now
officially
passed.
Simply the facts.
