So we come to the end of the term once again and the well deserved break that lies ahead.
Our Communications team reminded me of the videos we used to send during lockdown and so here is a link for a personal message from me at this time.
What a long way we have all journeyed since this time last year and how exciting it is to think of the time ahead as we continue to review, to adapt and to improve.
Last week we sent out the annual request to take part in the survey which we use to help inform our planning and in case you have not completed the survey yet, here is the link again.
Yesterday I attended the GITEX exhibition, which deserves far more consideration than an end of term note can afford, but it really stated that Dubai is back in business. The exhibition centre was packed with over 1600 stands. All delegates were monitored, there was no physical contact points, stewards managed the social distancing and everyone wore masks. The footfall was estimated to be as many as 150,000, a prelude for Expo that will come soon. As well as visiting the main stands I was privileged to have an audience with John Cleese whose newly published short and cheerful guide to creativity should be read over the holiday by all. ‘Creativity’ ISBN 978-1-786-332257.
As well as working through our NEASC accreditation and I daresay, another KHDA inspection, as we review our future I think we can enjoy deepening the discussion of how we foster creativity, entrepreneurship and innovation learning at NAS as Dubai itself moves ahead as one of the world’s leading ‘smart cities’.
