Psalm 119 with Matt Chandler Overview:

Even the most mature believers face dark nights of the soul. During those times God seems distant, his Word feels dry, and the vibrant intimacy we knew before seems absent leaving us wondering, “Where is the Lord in this?” In Psalm 119, Matt Chandler aims to introduce viewers to the words of King David who experienced similar seasons of life.

MEN'S FRATERNITY
Fridays, 6 a.m. via Zoom
Whitefield Men’s Fraternity brings men together in fellowship to strengthen our relationships with our families, whom we are called to lead courageously with Jesus Christ as our cornerstone.  Men's Fraternity is looking forward to meeting in person again but is continuing to build community with our dads virtually. We've recently been studying an excellent video series by Dr. Tony Evans and Tim Tebow as we continue our quest to strengthen our families and communities in Christ. Reach out to Jason Watson if you want to be added to our mailing and meeting list.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

PARENT PRAYER GROUP
Thursdays, 8:30-9 a.m. via Zoom
All parents are invited to the Whitefield Parent Prayer Group as we pray for our students, faculty, and school community. If you weren't able to participate today, we'd love to see you next Thursday morning for the final Parent Prayer meeting of 2020! For questions, contact Byron Johnson.

2020 FALL SPORTS RECAPS

SENIOR STUDENTS DISSECT CHICKENS
Mrs. Eve Marks' senior Anatomy and Physiology class recently concluded their semester with a dissection of chicken wings as a culmination of their studies on skin, bones, joints, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Talk about hands-on learning! Senior Lilly David smiles as she works.

SPOTLIGHT ON THE ARTS - THEATRE TECH SHINES
The Upper School Theatre Tech class has been working hard all semester to make the upcoming show Matilda the Musical look beautiful and run smoothly! They have not only developed their carpentry, prop construction, and scenic artistry skills, but have gained what it takes to run a show from behind the scenes and  “learned the ropes” of the unique rigging system for this production. Their efforts will be seen January 6-9, 2021 on the Louise Owens Theatre stage.

CITY OF REFUGE TOY PARADE
Thank you to Whitefield 5th grade for coordinating the annual toy drive for the City of Refuge! City of Refuge is a faith-based organization that helps individuals and families transition out of crisis. From PreK to 5th grade, students donated 354 new, unwrapped toys for children in need.

Each Lower School class took turns parading through Brostrand Hall with each student carrying his or her gift to the 5th grade collection location.

Before sending off the toys, 5th grade students prayed over the cars and toys, asking God to bless those who receive the toys and draw them to Him this Christmas season.
