County Administrator Barry Burton along with Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri held a press conference today regarding COVID-19 and County Ordinance 20-14.

The key points discussed today are as follows:
• Ord. 20-14: mandating that individuals wear a face covering in public indoor places.
• That ALL people who own, manage, or are employed by any restaurant or bar in Pinellas County MUST wear a face covering at ALL times; even when serving outdoor areas.
• Owner, operator, manager and employee of bar/restaurants or indoor public place shall ensure every person inside complies with this ordinance.

Additionally:
• No service unless customer is seated.
• Tables must be spaced 6 feet apart.
• No groups larger than 10 may be seated at one table.

The Sheriff's office will be visiting each business on Friday to post signage that will speak directly these official mandates.

Toys for Tots

As the holiday season begins to draw near, we have teamed up again with the Toys for Tots team to make Christmas wishes come true for needy children.
We work very hard to make Toys for Tots a success, but we could never do it without the help of our generous community and business leaders.
The gift of a shiny new toy – something that most children take for granted – means to a needy child that someone cares, that he/she hasn’t been forgotten, that Christmas hasn’t passed him/her by.
Drop off location is Fire Station 23 (7301 Gulf Blvd, St. Pete Beach)
Toys can be dropped off until December 15.
Thank you in advance for all of your support. 🎅🤶🎄

December 19th, 2020  Santa Claus is coming to St. Pete Beach!

December 19th will be a special day here in St. Pete Beach.  Santa and his crew will be driving through our beach town beginning at 10am.  The route can be found HERE, all are encouraged to create signs, decorate and celebrate in a safe way this year.

Parents and Guardians, here is a message especially for you!

To experience some extra special personalized magic from Santa Claus during the parade we invite you to make a fun custom sign for Santa on one side of the sign. On the other side write your kid/kids names large as possible in a big black marker. When Santa Claus is passing by your house and the kids are waving to him. You the parents will flip the sign around. It is important to make sure the kids can not see this happening. ( this is when you parents become Magicians and help with the magic) Santa will then personally say Merry Christmas to your kids with their names. Your kids will be so happy and shocked that Santa Claus knows their name/names personally. We look forward to creating this very nice and special experience for your kids during this holiday season.

The Construction for The Sunrunner (BRT) has begun.

Construction on the new SunRunner line is beginning in St. Pete Beach. The project only involves a few locations in the city and should have minimal impact on businesses, residents and visitors. However, since there will be some inconvenience for short periods of time for traffic and pedestrians, PSTA launched a construction information and engagement page for the community. Visitors will be able to see the construction timelines and the latest details about the project as well as individual station construction.
