WA: Mary Temple

Sunday, December 13th 2020 10:30am EST

This talk will review the types and sources of air pollutants and discuss implications for health, climate and justice.  Pollutants resulting from fossil fuel combustion include particulate matter and ozone, which cause direct health impacts, and greenhouse gas pollutants, which affect climate.  The most affected Individuals include poor and minority populations, both in the US and worldwide.  Transitioning to a sustainable energy path will improve health and reduce climate impacts.
