1. Summer Season COVID-19 Safety

The season is here and we’re asking everyone to “play your part” in encouraging relevant behavior and protocols to be followed towards a safe, enjoyable holiday time.   With the Knysna Municipality, we will be placing “stay safe: play your part” signage around the greater Knysna area.

From the Garden Route & Klein Karoo District Municipality, we have received the following flyer for your information that contains the processes to follow should you suspect that you / your guests have the virus Read more here.  and also the list of testing sites for the greater Knysna: Read more here
Please read the Knysna Municipality’s release on “measures taken to arrest the spike in infections…”, shared for your information.  Note that there will be a re-evaluation of the situation on 24 December.  Read more here

 
2. Things to Do flyer / Summer Calendar

We have updated the “Things to do” suggestions activity flyer.  Please download it from our website. Click here   There are also printed copies available at our office, 40 Main Road, Knysna as well as from Fijnbosch Coffee Shop in Sedgefield.

With regards to the Summer Calendar, we printed on the reverse of this, as above.  However, due to this week’s cancellation of mainstream events, we pulled the print pull-out that was scheduled for Action Ads.  We will review the situation early next week and a format of Things to Do and – possibly small, on-site activations – will print accordingly and there will be an insert in next Thursday’s distribution.
3. SATSA survey on “pain points” for accommodation

Please see the email received from SATSA and we request that accommodation establishments that do have issues, to please complete the survey. Read more here

This was a very interesting webinar hosted this past week by SATSA.   We don’t doubt you will learn some pointers with regards to marketing to our domestic market.  Please do take a listen. Read more here
5. ITB Berlin Virtual Edition 2021 – Expression of Interest

On behalf of South African Tourism (SAT) we are sharing the Expression of Interest received for businesses interested in presenting at the ITB Virtual Edition in March 2021.   Please liaise directly should you be interested.
