It's good to see so many avail of our Advent retreat and reflections online and we are happy to be able to welcome people regularly for mass or evening online meetings. Your appreciation has already been a light for us this Advent - and we are only half way through the season!

Even if it appears that we are journeying separately, we travel in the hope of celebrating Good News that draws us closer to one another in appreciation and gratitude.

  Retreat

Make your Advent special by choosing to take some time of retreat. Whether on your own or with others from your community, you will find material for morning and afternoon for a one, two or three days. You are welcome to join others who have availed of the retreat opportunity to consider the content more deeply on Tuesday evenings of Advent.

 Daily Mass

We have been glad to be able to welcome people to our daily mass at 12:15. You can register on the website if this seems a likely way for you to respond to the invitation of the season.

  Seasonal  Reflections

Some reflections on aspects of Advent have already been published with more to follow throughout the season. Mike Drennan's offers Advent considerations - Call to Conversion, Prepare the Way - and Brendan Comerford reflects on The Joy of the Christian.

  Evening Online Gatherings
  • You are welcome to join others online any Tuesday evening to reflect and pray further on the themes offered in the retreat.
  • Thursday evenings are time to reflect on other aspects of Advent or to explore any of the themes presented in the reflections.
  • You can register for these evening meetings on our website.

Our monthly evening on the third Thursday focuses on an aspect of pilgrimage – and will take an Advent angle on Thursday 17 December 2020.

Vigil for 2021 New Year

The New Year retreat has been a special time in Manresa for a number of years, appreciated as an opportunity to take some time to review and look ahead. We hope that we can hold something of the same space for you at this year’s end, inviting you to review and look ahead and to see in the New Year with some time for prayer, reflection and music.
