Rodney Cotterill Funeral Arrangements

As most of you will know, Rodney Cotterill recently passed away after a long battle with cancer. He was the oldest surviving member of the club and had been a member since 1945! His various roles at the club included coach driver, carrying the sponge bucket and in more recent years, walking into the team talk and telling the boys to "stick it up em!": He was the first to congratulate the team after a game and was often included in the huddle at the end.  Rodders will be missed by us all.

Rodney's funeral will take place on Monday 14th. December at 11:00 o'clock at St Ann's Church Sale followed by a burial at Brooklands cemetery at approx. 11:45.

The cortège will pass Heywood Rd at 11.30am. It will pause a few moments before moving off towards Brooklands Cemetery,

Due to the Covid-19 restrictions only 30 people invited can attend the Church service and cemetery.

We are however inviting members to either stand at the bottom of Heywood Road or along the route from St. Annes Church in Sale to pay your respects. Please follow proper covid-19 protocols and not gather in large groups.
A sad time at the club with the passing of our oldest club member Rodney "Rodders" Cotterill.
