As a member of the community you are very important. If you are already a member of Paso Food Co-op, you are an owner! The community needs your participation & cooperation to open our store.

Our plan: to continue to plan, organize, promote, and encourage community members to understand the cooperative model and why we think it is needed in our community. Membership is key. We ask for your help because we (Board Members) can’t do it alone.
You have a voice. You are the BEST ambassador for Paso Food Co-op because you already "see" the vision, you know the community. You have thought about it and can imagine and dream our perfect Cooperative Food Store. Continue to SHARE your vision and the urgency you feel to get it open sooner rather than later.

There are lots of ideas but people are needed to implement them. If you actively helped in the past we would love for you to step up again.
Equally important: More Member-Owners - 255 are needed
& More Volunteers are needed.

Established in 2011, Foss Farm is a private small scale farm just over 1 acre serving San Luis Obispo County in California and Beyond.

At 3300 Traffic Way in Atascadero, you can find the Foss Farm Farm Stand! You will have the opportunity to buy farm fresh quail and chicken eggs, and many seasonal farm fresh fruits and veggies.
We specialize in horse back-riding lessons for children.

"Why did I/we join the Co-op?"
I joined the Co-Op because I wanted to be a part of and join a community of like minded people that support local farmers. The Co-op has allowed me not only to connect with new customers but with other businesses!

How has the lockdown affected your business?
It has been a double edged sword. I have a beautiful 7 year old that I will home school this year. (we choose the freedom of that vs. distance learning) The first 4 months I was closed for horseback riding lessons for the kids, during that time I was able to review my growing areas….. We have added over 8 grow boxes to help battle gophers and voles as well as add smarter water irrigation, added to our compost pile and planted new olive trees and fig trees! To keep my sanity during these trying times I set goals and intentions… In January I am getting a solid start on my seedlings in the green house, rotate old soil out of garden boxes and amend it with new healthy compost and peat moss, freshen up the farm stand and getting ready with my second annual chick sale in February!

Did you Know? We are really close to half way to our Member-Owner goal of 500. We have over 900 followers on IG and over 1270 likes and over 1400 followers on FB. Share your photos and why the cooperative food store model is a great fit for your community on your Facebook, Instagram, etc. Help us turn them into OWNER-MEMBERS. You are an Owner and have a positive influence and connections to share. :)

2. Make a payment (as little as $25 - see webpage)

Full one-time payment or installment plan options available.
By-Laws require both a signed application & payment or payment plan confirmation. Via webpage, in person, or snail mail. (FYI-we have several applications on file still waiting for payment commitment to be able to declare as Member-Owner.)
