Knead Community Cafe Serving Take Out

As I am sure most of you are aware by now, the PA Dept. of Health has announced new statewide mitigation efforts to stop the latest surge of COVID-19 positive cases. The new rules will go into effect today Saturday, December 12th. As a result of these rules, we will be doing take out only until January 5th.
Obviously, this has been a challenging year for all of us. At Knead, we have seen our number of free meals given away each month grow from 500 per month to now over 1,500 per month. Despite the dramatic increase in free meals given away, we have remained committed to serving our community and we have kept our doors open during this entire pandemic. The cafe has been so blessed to be able to serve our community at a time when they need us the most.
With all this said, we know that none of this would be possible without the support of people like you. Whether it is our volunteers who continue to work for the cafe on a regular basis, or the patrons who come to buy their lunch or breakfast and pay more than the suggested donation to pay it forward for a neighbor, or someone who makes a monetary donation, none of this would be possible without this generosity. We want you to know how thankful we are for your gifts and we ask that you please consider supporting us during this new mitigation effort imposed by the state. Something as simple as ordering take out meals for you and your family during these next several weeks will help us to provide meals to people in need.
