– Exploring Advent, the Incarnation and Holy Eucharist
A Zoom discussion led by the Rev. Emily Scott about how her book For All Who Hunger intersects with Advent.
9am – Godly Play (preK - grade 6)
Meet on Zoom for a prerecorded story and live wondering together.

6pm Wednesday – Lectio Divina
Gather on Zoom for this form of prayer in which a group silently contemplates a sacred reading together. 

5pm Thursday – Yearning & The Eucharist Discussion
The Rev. Dr. James W. Farwell will talk about the theology of his classic text, The Liturgy Explained and his soon-to-be published new book The Eucharist: Understanding Christianity Through Its Ritual  Click here to register in advance and receive a Zoom link.

Ongoing – Advent Reads
This year we are exploring the meanings of Holy Eucharist, Advent, and Incarnation through three distinct books by three diverse authors:

Music

6:50pm Thursday – Advent Music Meditations
An organ meditation followed by an Advent carol, live on Facebook and later uploaded to YouTube.

4pm Sunday, December 20 – Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols
Live on Facebook this year, our annual Lessons and Carols in the Kings’ College tradition! Music by various soloists, a virtual choir recording, and brass and organ festive carol arrangements. Lessons of scripture delivered by St. John’s parishioners and clergy.

Giving

By December 17 – Christmas Memorials
Honor a loved one or special event with a gift towards the cost of the Christmas Greens that will decorate the outside of our beautiful buildings so everyone can see it adorned for the season. We will tie ribbons with names of those being recognized on the greens and wreaths. Click here to donate.
