We understand that many small businesses are swamped at this time of year; not only are more people shopping locally, but they are also holidaying locally and more aware of where they spend their money. On the flip-side, there has been such turmoil for many businesses that they are still tryng to figure out how to move forward in this new COVID-normal.
Maldon & District Community Bank is excited to announce their second Small Business Action Plan Program which will begin in March 2021. The program facilitated by Clare Fountain from Sorted. might be just what you are looking for to help you make sense of where your business is at and how you can make the most of your time and energy.
The program aims to deliver:
- a tailored viable business plan for your business
- increased confidence
- identify new opportunities, and
- increase collaboration between businesses in the region.
We ran the first version of this program during 2020, and we received great feedback. This year's course has been tweaked a little (based on previous participants suggestions) and there will also be some opportunity (fingers crossed for minimal COVID restrictions) for more face-to-face time this program.
Maldon & District Community Bank is subsidising this program for 16 local businesses, with participants required to contribute $150 per business. Please let us know if you require support for this payment as we don’t want cost to be an obstacle to businesses applying for or participating in the program (just let us know via the application form). The application process is simple – just a couple of questions and then a paragraph or two about how the program will benefit you and your business.
Small businesses from across our catchment area, including the towns and districts of Maldon, Dunolly, Newstead, Harcourt and Mount Alexander region, are encouraged to apply for the program.
Key dates:
- Applications are now open
- Applications close Sunday 7 February 2021
- Applicants notified of outcome Friday 19 February 2021
