Technical Difficulties
We have been making upgrades and changes to our equipment, hardware, WiFi, and streaming platforms recently. As with all technology, it takes time to adjust and accommodate different components and connections and have them working well in our facility. Sorry for some of the hiccups you have been experiencing!

For the English services, due to issues with platforms, we will stop sharing the Facebook stream on Zoom. Instead, please continue to meet and greet on Zoom but view the services directly on Facebook.

Weekly All Church Prayer Meetings
Zoom | Tuesdays | 8:00 - 9:00 PM

This week, we continued our prayer focus on our young ones and connected with Aaron Chin, Andrew Chin, Emma Chong, Ethan Chong, Ryan Chong, Grace Chu, Carolyn Yee, and Cathryn Yee. Do you know that many of them are seeking guidance from the Lord? We want to encourage all of our adults to come to the prayer meetings and bring your youths. When we pray together and uplift one another, God can do mighty work at our church!

For next Tuesday, our prayer focus will be on Christmas, but we will continue to put an emphasis on children and youth, strong individual family, and church family.

Remember NOW your Creator in the days of your youth.... Ecclesiastes 12:1.

Special Needs Ministry
We are partnering with Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit for our first Zoom session this Saturday, December 19, to support children with special needs and their families. We will have a time of worship and sharing; and our special guest, Caio Li, will be performing a short magic show. Please pray for our families as the pandemic has been especially hard for many of them.

Chinese Congregation Christmas Get-Together!
Let's celebrate this season with a Zoom gathering on Saturday, December 26, at 3:00 pm. Bring your own snacks and share your most memorable Christmas memories and testimonies. Please invite all Chinese speaking friends, Elim seniors, and family members.

Spreading Joy to Our Preschoolers at Sonbeams
Our Sonbeams teachers (Angela Lew, Teena Low, and Ellen Lee), along with a little help from Betty too, are planning something different over the next few weeks! Instead of formal lessons, they will be delivering holiday cheer to our SonBeams families (small holiday care packages) and sending out worksheets and a Christmas video. Lessons will resume on Sunday, January 17. Enjoy your holidays!

2021 Annual Congregational Business Meeting
Our ACBM will be on Sunday, January 31, 2021. In order to ensure participation for a quorum, we will conduct this meeting remotely. Members should plan to attend. More information will be shared in January as we finalize the details.

What’s Cooking, FLCC? - Recap
Hannah Cheng made a pot of traditional mogua (fuzzy melon) soup and taught us the value of a hot bowl of Chinese soup at dinner time. Here's more on what we learned.

Blessing the Gohs
Pastor Daniel and Pastor Sea Faa have moved to their new one-bedroom apartment. Do you have these items in good condition to donate? Please let them know.

One kitchen island with cupboards for storage (no more than 5 to 6 ft long by 2 1/2 ft wide)
Four dining chairs
Two twin mattresses
Two single sofas or a two-sitter, apartment-sized sofa bed.
Two dressers (three to four drawers)

KCA Outreach

1. Blessing KCA families and Lafayette Elementary School Staff: Thank you for your donations to bless our KCA families and Lafayette staff this Christmas! Please continue to pray for God's blessings for our staff and KCA families.

2. Zoom Sessions: We held our last large group session for our KCA students on the 15th, as an early Christmas gathering to celebrate the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ. We are also scheduling special activities over the Christmas break to maintain our connection with our kids as well as help them connect with each other. As distance learning continues into the new year, please pray for us as we seek God's direction to minister effectively to and meet the needs of our KCA families.

3. Volunteering: Do you have a talent you would like to share with our children from KCA and our church families? The activity can be short, anywhere from five to fifteen minutes, and can be shared over Zoom. As we start the new year, this would be a wonderful opportunity to connect with the children in our community. Please contact Ann Kawauchi for more information.
