Thank you to all our volunteers this year!

We had 4 volunteers donate over 80 hours to sew our purple masks which we used as a fundraiser and to raise awareness during November's Family Violence Prevention month. Thank you Lorie, Susan, Linda, & Jessica - our mask making heroes! We had a couple of great volunteers step up to provide free child care for our counselling clients that needed it. Thanks to Cassidy and Joanne. To all our volunteers that signed up for the Car Rally - we'll be contacting you in the spring to help out :) To our Fundraising Committee members - thank you so much for your generosity and for pulling everything together to raise those much needed funds. Finally, to our Board that volunteers 100s of hours every year to ensuring SAIF is a well run organization that is responsive to community needs - thank you for tirelessly working on our behalf.
We've put together a blog to provide info on how you can use your charitable gifts to benefit you at tax time. Learn more here.

Almost 50% of our funding comes from individual, corporate, & partner donations. This is the funding that ensures our counselling programs and other services remain free and accessible to the community. Without your donations, we wouldn't be able to help the 100s of families dealing with the impacts of abuse in our communities. If you haven't had a chance to donate, you still can, before Dec 31!
  • Zach Holmes, a local teen, has raised over $1,650 through his Christmas in the Park Campaign in the Nobel Park neighbourhood.
  • Our mask fundraiser has raised over $2,000 and we have just a few masks left if you'd still like to order!
  • Since November, we have been trying to make up for the cancellation of our Red Shoe Gala which raises about $45,000 annually. So far, we've raised $27,000 & hope to get our year end donations to our goal.

Thank you to all our donors this year!

There are so many people we'd love to thank and come January, check out our social media for all our Giving Tree celebrations of our 2020 donors!

If you haven't received your charitable tax receipt, please call Tanya at 780.460.2195 ext. 301 or email us at info@stopabuse.ca. Thank you so much for your support.
SAIF Podcasts & Blogs
We're looking for locals who may be open to being interviewed for a podcast series we're doing in the new year. All names and info would be kept confidential. We're hoping that by sharing your stories of abuse, survival, and healing, we might inspire others to reach out or feel hopeful about their own situations. This is strictly voluntary. If you would be interested in sharing your story and want to discuss how we can do so safely, contact our Executive Director, Areni at 780-460-2195 ext. 306. Thank you.
