This year you – and thousands of others in New York and across the country – helped break the bronze ceiling by supporting the creation of the first statue of real women in Central Park.
Our Women’s Rights Pioneers Monument honoring Sojourner Truth, Susan B. Anthony, and Elizabeth Cady Stanton was unveiled to wide acclaim on August 26th, the 100th anniversary of women's suffrage.
Now, we must do more to honor the contributions of women and people of color in our public spaces. And you can help!

Next year we plan to create a five-borough women’s rights history trail in New York City. The trail will recognize scores of women – of all racial, ethnic, political, and social backgrounds – who stood up for their beliefs and became important agents of change. All will inspire our ongoing struggle to achieve social justice and a genuinely inclusive democracy.
Every dollar you donate to Monumental Women is tax-deductible and goes directly to the work of correcting the historical record through accurate and diverse public representation. Monumental Women is working with communities around the country to reimagine their public spaces.
