Message from the Division Director

Dear Colleagues,

Things remain busy with many Covid hospitalizations across the GTA. The Incident Management System (IMS) continues to coordinate transfers of non-ICU Covid patients across the city, with over 600 GIM transfers to date. This tends to be a lot of work on both the sending and receiving end, but is necessary to prevent individual sites from being overwhelmed. Thanks, as always, to everyone working on the front lines and also those coordinating things behind the scenes.

Despite this pandemic workload, we are looking forward to hosting an abbreviated virtual GIM research day in the spring, with trainee presentations and posters and an exciting guest speaker. Please watch for additional details.

With all best wishes,
Moira
Dr. Moira Kapral, Director, Division of General Internal Medicine, University of Toronto
