Photoshop for the Artist
Tuesdays, 9:30-12 noon

Jan 5 The basics: All about FILES, TOOLS & basic navigation ( will help everyone set up their workspace)
Jan 12 Using history & layers, editing basics (hands-on segment trying a few simple projects)
Jan 19 Using clone, quick selection & skew tools (hands on)
Jan 26 Using artistic filters & preparing artwork for print. (creating collage canvases, & adding text to your artwork for giclée prints, cards etc.

To PREPARE AHEAD:
For those taking the class, go ahead & search for photos to use during these classes and put in a folder on your desktop.
Examples:

Old torn or damaged, yellowed
Reference photos you'd like to paint from
Artwork you would like to prepare for canvas prints (adding text etc)
Family pictures you'd like to crop heads, if you have several similar shots
Dark or light digital images to color correct

CLASS FORMAT:

Inspirational segment
Powerpoint with examples of what will be covered
Instructional segment with step by step demonstrations
Q & A segment
Hands on segment for those who will be working
