"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass
the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord." 2 Corinthians 3:18
<<Salutation>>
May this coming year bring a beautiful transformation
in each of your lives.
Just as the butterfly transforms into its beautiful self,
and flits here and there bringing joy to those who behold it, may Christ Jesus within you bring a lighthearted joy
and peace that surpasses all circumstances and understanding.
A LOOK INTO OUR LIVES
Slow but Steady:
The process to reapply for new volunteer visas is slow and methodical. We just recently received our FBI criminal background checks, and we are happy to share that our fingerprints continue to have zero criminal history associated with them. Now we move on to the next step. Thanks to all those who have been praying for us and contacting us with the desire to hear any recent developments regarding travel to Israel.
If you recall, a list of necessary items for the Visa process are as follows to give you an idea of what we have been up to in preparation for travel and serving in Israel.
Passports (Checked on a discrepancy with our last name). Everything checked out okay, and we are now “Real ID” compliant for the new air travel guidelines.
FBI criminal background OK
Apostille certified FBI criminal record check
A recent physical exam and a letter from the Dr. stating we are in sound health
HIV Test
Letter of Invitation from Israel organization
Application for Volunteer Visa
Family:
Catherine’s Dad (Lowell) has had quite a few ups and downs…mostly downs, over the last couple of months.
Les was recently talking with a friend about the situation, and his friend mentioned a common life proverb that describes the current situation, “Once a man, twice a child”. We had never heard that proverb, but it is a very honest evaluation of the things going on in Dad Kennedy’s life.
Thank you for your ongoing prayers for Lowell and the Kennedy family.
PRAYER & PRAISE
Please continue to pray for Lowell Kennedy (Catherine's father) and for peace of mind. He health is fragile, at this point, and he suffers from advance stages of Alzheimer's.
Praise the Lord for the blessing of being able to celebrate the holidays with loved-ones.
Pray for us to be sensitive to the Lord's direction as we spend additional time in the US.
Praise the Lord for His grace and mercy!
Pray for wisdom as we wait upon the Lord with His timing to return to Israel.
We are very thankful
for your faithful partnership!!!
