It's been yet another whirlwind of a month, but things are looking up for 2021!
We would like to welcome the new Acting Director of the Peace Corps, Carol Spahn. She is a proud Romania RPCV and has served the agency as a Country Director and a Regional Chief of Operations.

The proceeds from this campaign will go to a new fund for supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in PC Ukraine. The first $1,000 raised is allocated for sponsoring Black Volunteer retreats in country. This campaign will end on Sunday February 7th, so don't wait to place your order! Join Our Planning Committee
Over nearly three decades of its existence, Peace Corps Ukraine has trained and hosted more than 3,300 American volunteers, employed hundreds of staff members, and undoubtedly changed the lives of thousands of Ukrainians. Despite three evacuations, the program has remained one of the strongest of the agency and continues to attract prospective Volunteers.
Year 2022 will mark the 30th anniversary of the program, so we have established a subcommittee to plan various events and media releases to celebrate this special anniversary. If you are interested in join the planning committee, please reach out to Raisa Alstodt pcua30@gmail.com

GoFundMe Update on Shuliak Family
Last month, we coordinated a fundraiser for the family of long-time former PC post staffer, Grygoriy Shuliak, who passed away in November after a lengthy battle with cancer. Because of you, druzi, we were able to raise $3,695 to assist them during this difficult time. The Shuliak family sends their deepest gratitude to all those who contributed to this campaign. We continue to be amazed by this incredible community. Thank you so, so much!!
