Sadhana of the Recollection of the Noble Three Jewels
January 3, 2021
Dear Dharma Friends,
We take immense joy in inviting you to join us each month this New Year for a group recitation of the Triratna Anusmriti Sadhana -Sadhana of the Recitation of the Nobel Three Jewels.
As our revered teacher Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche reminds us, "To be awake is the ultimate goal for those fortunate enough to follow the Buddha. The Buddha taught many ways to wake up because we get confused in numerous ways and one such way is ‘dhyana’- sometimes translated as mindfulness. However, mindfulness training shouldn’t only be limited to breathing and sitting as so often happens. Doing a rangoli, or sprinkling of flower petals or mantra recitations are some of the ways to enhance non-distraction.
Among all of these practices that enhance non-distraction or mindfulness, remembering The Three Jewels is one of the most important – and is considered as an exemplary means to accumulate merit, as a skillful way to invoke right motivation and action that ultimately leads to realizing the truth”.
The Triratna Sadhana was first performed under the Bodhi Tree in Bodhgaya in 2016 under the aegis of Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche.
Join us in Sadhana Recitation to ring in the New Year in the most auspicious way and remember and admire the Shakyamuni Buddha.

Excerpt from Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche's message:
"...for the time being, from now till the end of the year, we will concentrate more on the Bhumisparsha recitation of the mantra of Sakyamuni Buddha.
I have not a moment’s doubt that all our efforts in (...) chanting the Shakyamuni mantra have made and will continue to make a big difference in dealing with the outer, inner and secret calamities and pandemics of the world both now and in the future.
Let us keep on making many more group efforts like these.
