GGD Newsletter For January 1, 2021

Happy New Year! 

2020 was definitely a year for the history books. There was some good, some bad, and far too much ugly. I, for one, am happy that it is now a relic of the past. Over the past 12 months, we have had many ups and downs, both financially and in our personal lives. Nonetheless, we learned numerous lessons over this time period, many of which, will most likely stick with us for the rest of our lives. 2020 is unquestionably a year we all will remember.

Throughout it all, we've continued to strive for our dream of financial independence and early retirement and it now feels more real than ever. Year-over-year, our total net worth increased by 37.4%, bringing us closer than ever to reaching that dream. These gains also allowed us to meet, and exceed, all of our financial goals for 2020!

With the arrival of a new year, we've decided to establish a new ambitious financial goal and we're super motivated to reach it! I foresee great things happening in 2021!!

In December we saw a 4.18% increase in the value of our investment portfolio. That brings us to 94.3% of our retirement number!
