Hello, dear friends!
From all of us at English4Life Poland, we hope that you and your family have had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

As we take time to reflect on the blessings of this year, we are reminded of the many volunteers and prayer partners we have had the privilege of meeting in 2020 through our online English Cafe and through the English4Life school.
Some people have served alongside of us virtually—leading small groups on English Cafe, being special speakers (for chapel, Heart to Heart/Man to Man), conversation partners, journal partners, or even teaching a class during our Spring 2020 term (5 brave teachers took on the challenge!)
A select few were able to come physically to serve alongside of us here this year due to the Polish border restrictions. We praise the Lord that He brought you to us when He did, used you during your time here in our students’ lives and in our lives, and allowed you all to safely return home.

Without our team of English4Life volunteers, this ministry would be literally impossible! So thank you for being a part of investing in the lives of Polish youth in 2020. This year, between volunteers, students, and online English Café participants, the Lord, through English4Life, worked in the lives of over 200 people,
whether virtually or in person.
God is WORKING through this ministry, and YOU are a part of it.

We hope that you’ll be able to continue serving with us as God leads in 2021!

Ministry Opportunities in 2021:

Although Polish borders are currently still closed to Americans (with a few exceptions), Canadians and most other Europeans can enter without any problems.

While our desire is to have in-person classes, this may not be possible, at least for this up-coming term beginning January 17th.

With that said, the following is a list of 2021 volunteer opportunities:

1. Teaching an in-person or online English class:

Term dates:

  • Winter 2021: January 17 – March 19, 2021
  • Spring 2021: April 11 – June 4, 2021
  • Fall 2021: September 26 – November 19, 2021
2. Leading a small group on English Cafe:

Each Wednesday at 12pm EST we meet on Zoom with people from all around Poland and other parts of Europe to talk about various topics in English, usually leading to a discussion about spiritual things. This ministry has produced great results over the last several months and we are excited to see how many young people have come and heard the Gospel as a result!

[English Café is something that you can sign up for week-by-week, and doesn’t require a commitment of a certain amount of weeks to participate! Conversation materials are provided each week to those who sign up on our online calendar.]

3. Being a conversation partner with an E4L student!
In 2020 we started this, and our students have loved it! Each term all of our students are paired with a conversation partner from the US or Canada who they have the privilege of speaking with and practicing their English with once/week for about 6 weeks. Those of you who have been conversation partners in the past know what a joy it is to get to know one of the students individually and invest in their lives by just being their friend.
