How to Heal

Take a walk in the forest, and feel your feet touch the earth with each step. Smell the cool air and the essence of the natural flora around you.  Breathe deeply and taste the air in your mouth, feel it in your lungs and exhale the warm air from your body.  Look deeply into the forest - layers deep.  Do not be surprised if tears come down your face.  That is the point.
To heal.

CAMPING 2020 & CAMPING 2021
Last summer was an amazing experience during a time when folks were dealing with so much stress, loss and challenges. Many found the joy and peace that came with spending time outdoors in nature.  At Camp Earth Connection folks had the opportunity to camp in a little woodland campground where social distancing was made easy with each campsite and cabin having it's own private space with a campfire ring, grill & picnic table. We had no reports of COVID-19 tracing back to CEC thanks to the commitment of our visitors to be safe.  We look forward to another safe camping season in 2021.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT IN 2021?
Expect to see 3 Adorable Camping Pods completed and ready for visitors!  Tree tents will have their own little stream site tucked away from the main camp for the experienced camper. Eshay(Susan) will be joined by a Seasonal Caretaker and maybe even a couple of Interns to help things run smoothly.  Consider becoming a seasonal camper, a new option for guests.  Camp Earth Connection will continue to work on minimizing the environmental footprint of the camp by offering new educational experiences around low impact camping.

Sorting out the Small Rodents
by Linda Spielman

Rodents are considered one of the most successful groups of mammals, so it’s not surprising that the northeast hosts many different kinds. They range in size from the tiny woodland vole (weighing an ounce or less) to the beaver (50 pounds or more). The small ones dominate, both in abundance and in their potential to confuse. Most of these little creatures are active in winter, so it’s a perfect time to get a handle on their distinguishing features.  Read more... on Linda's Blog and Website.
Wishing you peace in times of distress.   Camp Earth Connection is a peaceful space for people to connect with nature and each other.    Camp Earth Connection values and supports diversity and welcomes people of diverse racial and cultural backgrounds.  We welcome the LGBTQI community and allies.  We support the Black Lives Matter Movement.  Visit with an open heart and you will find the joy of nature and connection.
