Reconciliation Update

We hope that all is going well with you and your family and that you had a wonderful Christmas and a great start to the New Year.

We want to provide an update on Reconciliation.   We have made a few changes to the schedule to allow a bit more time to cover the at home lessons and finish the purple sacrament journal.  Also, we are unable to meet in person for the retreat due to covid restrictions, so we will have an at home review instead.

We have also made some adjustments to our normal Reconciliation procedures so that children can safely receive the sacrament while meeting  covid-19 safety guidelines.

This is the new time line of events.  More information will be sent concerning the at home review and signing up for reconciliation on January 18.

Purple Sacrament Journal

  • Journals must be turned in to the parish office before receiving reconciliation.
  • Journals can be turned in starting January 11 and must be turned in no later than January 24.

At Home Review

  • Pick up a Reconciliation bookmark when dropping off journal.  The bookmark will be available in the commons and will also be available on line and the day of Reconciliation
  • Videos will be provided for you to watch with your child at home.  These will be a combination of parish produced videos and videos available through Blessed and Catholic Brain.   Links will be provided January 18 along with review pages to complete in the Encounter With Christ book.
Reconciliation
  • January 30 and February 6 from 10:00am -12:00pm
  • A sign up genius will go out January 18.  You will choose a 30 minute time slot with a specific priest.  There will be a limited number of children per each 30 minute slot.
  • Specific instructions will be sent in regard to check in, how to wait in a safe socially distanced way along with other details.

We truly look forward to helping your child receive the sacrament of Reconciliation.  Please look for communication on January 18 with At Home Review information and the Reconciliation sign up genius.

If there is anything we can do to assist you, please reach out.  We look forward to seeing you for the sacrament of Reconciliation.

Blessings,
Rosie and Stacy
