PTA Reading with Bulldogs

Due to social distancing requirements, our annual in-person "Reading with Santa" event won’t be possible. The Heuvelton PTA still would like to provide some type of holiday event for our school-aged children to enjoy this coming holiday season. An online event has been approved by the administration in lieu of our usual "Reading with Santa."

COVID-19 Testing and Consent Form

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo recently released guidelines for schools in designated yellow, orange and red micro-cluster zones in order to help keep schools open to in-person instruction. The guidelines require schools to complete a certain percentage of COVID-19 tests among in-person staff and students, with a continuation of vigilant symptom and exposure screening conducted daily. New York State will provide rapid test kits for schools to conduct the requisite testing.

La Fromagerie - A Musical Revue

This year's musical is a musical revue, “a light theatrical entertainment consisting of a series of short sketches, songs, and dances, typically dealing satirically with topical issues”. Directors have selected songs purposefully to highlight the ranges and abilities of the cast members.  A loose storyline was created to tie the music together, but the focus is to feature a variety of quality songs from many different musicals.

The story line:
Things are booming at the Heuvelton Cheese Factory - La Fromagerie - and life is good, until the CEO's spouse becomes jealous of the time and money spent on the factory and kills him.  He returns as a ghost, and makes her visit the factory workers, in the past, in the present and in the possible future - as a way to see the error of her ways.

Filled with popular and entertaining songs that feature our cast of 11 students, grades 7-12, this revue is sure to brighten any quarantined soul.

The recording will be available on a jump drive for $10. Please consider purchasing as a donation to the musical program. This year has been incredibly difficult for everyone and we are very excited to have been able to continue this opportunity for students, albeit, in a strange and unconventional way. The order form is available here: https://www.heuvelton.k12.ny.us/cms/lib/NY02208179/Centricity/Domain/8/LaFromagerie_OrderForm.pdf
