I hope you are well and that you are finding ways to enjoy your family and friends from a safe distance. My sons and their immediate families are in New Hampshire and Poland this holiday season. We will have a zoom breakfast tomorrow morning with some other extended family members. And while we can't be with each other, we'll have "coffee" via the internet, provided the power is still on.
Now, a couple of items:
Rain and Wind Storm -- Charge your phones, break out the flashlights, lanterns, and candles; get your "power-outage kit" ready; do your cooking early if you can; be sure to be careful with your fires and candles. Best to be prepared.
Plunkett -- A big thanks to the DPW Staff for monitoring Plunkett's water level over the holiday weekend. Bud Hall has been in touch with Foresight Land Services, and the full Gate Valve Training is being scheduled for just after the first of the year.
COVID -- I know everyone is concerned about the COVID situation and probably sick of hearing about it at the same time. Still, we cannot allow ourselves to be complacent. I have several siblings and their in-laws who have contracted the virus and a couple who have struggled to get through it. So, please be vigilant about your handwashing, face-covering, and social distancing.
Transfer Station -- The Transfer Station is open over the weekend, but please remember to wear your face masks and please practice safe distancing.
