Dear Partners in Mission,

Our mission is to plant and grow witnessing communities among graduate students and faculty that call every corner of every campus in Upstate NY to follow Jesus.

In addition to serving as the primary staff worker for 7 of the 10 chapters in Upstate NY, I have spent my first 6 months in this new role learning about the schools in the area, developing a strategic plan for recruiting a staff team and expanding to unreached campuses.

In thinking through what it will take to accomplish this mission - more than a dozen new staff, allies on campus, a significant increase of partnerships, and the many thousands of dollars that will need to be raised - it is clear to me that in order to move forward we will need to come together in covering this mission in prayer.

At this event, I will share with you a bit about the campuses in Upstate NY, what ministry is happening, and our next steps for moving mission forward. We'll hear from grad students and spend some time in prayer.

Until we meet in February, there are a few things I would love to invite you to cover in prayer.

Tonight begins our first virtual Northeast Grad Winter Retreat that I and a colleague are directing. Currently, there are over 100 graduate students and staff in the Northeast who are registered.

Please pray that Jesus will do his good work among students this weekend,
That students will be present to both themselves and to Jesus,
For our speaker, Anna Lee-Winans, and our seminar speakers,
That Jesus will guard the tech and virtual connections

Please also pray for:

The witnessing communities of graduate students who will continue gathering this spring on Zoom.
The students in our chapters who are curious about Jesus, but do not yet know him.
God to bring new staff to the currently-planted and not-yet-reached campuses in Upstate NY.
New ministry partners, both on campus and off
