Happy Holidays to all our wonderful students, parents and staff!

Despite the adversity faced this year, we have managed to pull through 2020 with a deeper sense of understanding, compassion and resilience.

The kindness and support everyone has shown each other has been truly uplifting, and I am confident we can start 2021 with renewed optimism and energy, so that we can continue working together on our school’s mission to encourage each and every student to discover and become confident in their spiritual identity, personal nature and contribution to society.

While this year was lacking in opportunities for parental and community involvement, we are hopeful that as COVID restrictions ease, we will be able to return to some sense of normalcy.

The refurbishment program for the Primary Classrooms is well underway, while the long-awaited high-school construction project nears completion. We look forward to sharing sneak peeks of these projects with you towards the end of January.

We hope you have a fabulous festive season, and enjoy this opportunity to spend time with friends and family.

Wishing you all the best for the rest of the year, Hare Krishna and a Happy New Year, full of kindness and peace.

Vinod Bihari Prabhu,

Principal

Primary Graduates

Last week we celebrated the achievements of our wonderful year 6 students.

We wish our graduating students all the best with the next part of their learning journey and feel very fortunate to have had their lovely association in our class for the last two years.

We are excited for them as they move forward into high school and will miss them here in the primary school.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Tournament
A big congratulations to Rama Barnett, Caitanya Barnett and Nitai Reciuga for their amazing efforts at a recent Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournament. Rama achieved a gold and a bronze medal and Nitai won two gold medals.

These students have been training very hard and their dedication has also been reflecting in their engagement inside the classroom. No doubt that Kṛṣṇa and His cowherd boyfriends are looking forward to challenging these students in a Malla-yuddha contest in the near future. Jaya!

Congratulations to all of our Year 11s who have managed the transition into Senior Subjets with grace. The final day of classes began with their first major assessment task in Business Studies.

We then headed into town with Mother Gopa to peruse the HSC support materials at the library, to share lunch, and finally to briefly take in an exhibition of student art work at the local TAFE.

This was just the right note on which to finish the school year and also alerted students to some of the support available to them in the wider community.

I wish all our senior students a restful break and look forward to the amazing things we'll do in 2021.

At the end of this year, our staff participated in workshops on the art of effective and open communication. The workshops were conducted by Marlena Basser, a highly experienced facilitator and trainer from Uplifiting Australia.
