Dear MUSIC TEACHER LA Families,
Happy Winter Pandemic Holidays 2020!
Wishing you all the magic and joy in this holiday season. It was an unusual year at Music Teacher LA with many students switching to online lessons and many others opting to wear masks during their in-person learning. 2020 was the very first year we had our recitals via Zoom app and observed even the youngest students perfecting the iPad and laptop management. I value your patience during some internet downtimes, your positive energy, and your dedication to excellence in music education, and I look forward to working with you and your children in the year 2021.
Our talented and devoted teachers are looking forward to helping you and(or) your children reach new goals and successes in the new 2021. We are registering new families for Online, In-studio and In-Home piano, violin, guitar, voice, and drum music lessons. For all in-person lessons, we require masks until further notice.
Returning Families
To accommodate students who previously took a longer than one-month break, we sometimes have to offer a new instructor, because the times become unavailable with your prior teacher. The new offered teacher is an instructor with a similar to your prior instructor personality and educational and teaching backgrounds.
Additionally, you are welcome to request a new teacher or try learning a new instrument in 2021. If you developed a strong bond with your prior teacher but would like to try a different instrument that your prior instructor does not teach, you can request infrequent lessons with your prior teacher, in addition to lessons with a new teacher.
Make-up Policy Reminder
All you need to do to cancel a lesson is to call the office during our business hours, at least 12 hours before your scheduled day time.
Your teacher will create a customized makeup lesson during your absence any time you miss a lesson. Then, you’ll receive an email from our office with the links to personalized documents, videos, images, or YouTube links.
So, you or your child will know what to practice before the next live lesson and won’t forget an assignment for the following week.
When planning a vacation or a business journey, you can also request in writing a personalized make-up lesson to be delivered to your email.

If you are shopping for an instrument online, you will find the information about our recommended and student-tested instruments on our new page. Additionally, the required lessons' material for purchase is available on the Student Portal page. Currently, only beginning books are listed.
