January 2021
Newsletter

We are back in the office (aka at our kitchen table) after taking an extended client break over the holidays and visiting warmer climate for a week's vacation.   The rest was much needed.

Looking ahead at 2021, there are good things on the horizon....we just can't see them all clearly, yet.  In God's timing, they will become clearer and we will continue to walk out what He sets before us.

On the Horizon

Meeting with our board virtually allows us to include everyone that is scattered abroad the United States.  The first meeting of the year included discussion and approval of the year's faith budget.  See below for more details on how the ministry endeavors to allocate donations for 2021.

Westcliffe Worships Hymn Sing is scheduled for January 30th.  We are blessed to be able to combine the gifts of various musicians in the Valley.

We have begun reaching out to schedule teaching trips and blocking out time on our calendar for potential intensive weeks.  It is imperative that we continue to learn from the prior year's experience and carry that forward for optimal growth.

As we dream about growth in the coming years, we are keenly aware that it will require bringing other couples and individuals on board.  It is our desire that the ministry will be financially able to offer the newcomers a starting pay rather than asking them to exclusively raise donor support since that goes against our ministry's policy which prohibits active fundraising.  Likely additions in the foreseeable future are an additional counseling couple and an administrative assistant.

It is conceivable that we will be publishing another book in 2021.  We have bits and pieces of several writing projects in process, however, we are hopeful that we will be able to release a collection of previous blogs prior to the end of the year.

We received a donation towards the purchase of a ministry RV at the end of 2020 which seems to indicate that this branch of the ministry is coming to fruition soon.

2021 Faith Budget

We believe that it is appropriate for any ministry to be accountable to its ministry partners and donors and do so on an annual basis.

Our board has approved a budget of $114,290 for 2021.  This includes salaries of $30,000 for each of us. The monthly need to meet this budget is $9,525.  As always, these approved amounts and subsequent dispersal are dependent upon the receipts of gifts throughout the year.

Combined salary, health insurance & taxes for Mark and Dallas     $66,543
Monthly operating expense need                                                     $  9,525

RV fund receipts to date                 $12,800
Building fund receipts to date         $  2,205
