Fat Bikes by Candlelight Wednesday, Dec. 30th - Updates
We're lighting up the night! Lights will be placed along the beginner trails at the Zip for a magical ride through the woods. Enjoy an evening around a bonfire with fellow silent sport enthusiasts. Zip snowshoe trails will be open! Volunteers will be available to share more about LAMBO, the Zip and other biking and snowshoe trails in the area. Stop by anytime! The event is free to the public, but donations are welcome and appreciated. All funds are used to build, maintain and groom trails in the Lakeland Area.
The Zip Trailhead is located just south of Minocqua off of 51. Enter under the Northwoods Zipline sign and head to the back of the parking area by the kiosk and barn. You can't miss it!
Due to the bike shortage and COVID local shops are unable to provide demo bikes but a few loaner bikes will be available if you need a fat bike to try. This is a great opportunity for all ages, for families, and for anyone new to fat biking in the winter. Supply is limited. First come first serve and the bikes are only for use on the beginner Sue trails. Typical trip is 20 minutes so the turnaround is fast. Look for the signup sheet when you arrive.
LAMBO Merchandise and Fat Bike Raffle Tickets will be available for sale. All proceeds go to trail building. COVID Guidelines apply. Please maintain a 6 foot distance from those around you. The bike demos are canceled this year due to COVID.
Price: Free (donations appreciated)
