Year in Review, Annual Gala Paddle Raise, Oregon Cultural Trust Tax Credit
Dear <<First Name>>,
On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to thank you for your part in High Desert Chamber Music's history. This has certainly been a trying year, but we feel very fortunate to have your interest, enthusiasm, and support!
To recap... We had a strong start to the year with our highest grossing Valentine's Day concert in February, and the largest amount of participation in our Master Class offering with the
Calder Quartet. It was difficult to cancel the remainder of our season, and disheartening to find attempts at rescheduling events unsuccessful.
We were lucky enough to not only receive a
Paycheck Protection Program loan in May, but also a grant from the
Coronavirus Relief Fund for Cultural Support from the Oregon Cultural Trust in October. Optimistically looking ahead, we used this time to update and revamp our website to better serve our constituents. We jumped at the chance to present the students in our educational programs in a feature performance at the Tower Theatre, and distributed videos of these performances to our supporters.
To close out this year, we were so fortunate to have the ability to transition our most important fundraising event, the
Thirteenth Annual Gala, to a virtual format. (If you missed this event, you can click on the video link to the right to watch it!) Special thanks to our host
Bob Shaw, and the
HDCM Board of Directors for the Virtual Paddle Raise matching challenge. Our supporters rose to the challenge and handily surpassed our fundraising goals for the event. We are overwhelmed by the generosity of our community and the support you have shown this year!
We continue to benefit from the partnership of our sponsors including
Mission Building, German Master Tech, Miller Lumber, Tower Theatre Foundation, Tracy Lynn Photography, Combined Communications, and BendBroadband.
Though this has not been a typical year, we have been taking steps to ensure that High Desert Chamber Music will return when the time comes. We hope you continue to find an interest in our programs, and it's not too late to make a year end donation! These can be made on our website, by clicking the "
Donate" button to the right, or by mail to the
address below. Don't forget, HDCM is one of the Oregon Cultural Trust's qualifying non-profit organizations and you have until the end of the year to claim your tax credit. Please click the information to the right for more information.
For now, High Desert Chamber Music is preparing for the future, and we are anxiously waiting to welcome you back to come hear the music!
Sincerely,
Isabelle Senger
