Your contributions have made it possible for us not simply to survive through this pandemic, but to adapt to its realities. We’ve transitioned our youth programs to be virtual and flexible, worked with educators and parents to provide online and in-person resources, and welcomed small groups to our campus. We’ve reached other age groups with virtual seminars, socially-distanced activities, and meal pickups. And we’ve continued the work of our sustainable agriculture program at Trapp Farm.
With donations accounting for about 45 percent of this year’s budgeted revenue (compared to less than 20 percent in a typical year), we have relied more than ever before on the partnership of our generous community of supporters. Since the fiscal year began on July 1, more than 300 donors have given more than $180,000. Thank you! Both those numbers are Osprey Wilds records and put us well on our way to meeting the budgeted goal for the year, or even exceeding it, allowing us to do even more to replace lost program revenue.
If you’ve not already made a contribution, or are able to consider another gift, please give generously. As we head into the promise of a new year, your support will remain foundational to our ability to continue working toward a healthy planet where all people live in balance with the Earth.
If you want to take advantage of a tax deduction in 2020, you still have a few days to make your gift. Request a stock transfer or IRA distribution now, so it’s completed by December 31. If you’re mailing a check, it should be postmarked December 31 or earlier. And you can make an online contribution right up to midnight on New Year’s Eve. Learn more about tax-wise giving on our website.
However you chose to give, your gift will make a real difference!
