It was another exciting day for our students on Dec 10th, their High School graduation. This year our program had four graduates in the high school, all graduating with high honors. While I couldn't travel to Nicaragua for this years ceremonies, I was kept updated throughout the day with photos and videos sent by the students. Seeing the excitement and pride on their faces made my day and hopefully these photos will also warm your heart and make you feel proud of your investment into their education.
Like the rest of us, our Foundation has learned a lot this year, how to pivot and change with the conditions. As we all learned this year, technology is a crucial link to education and remote learning around the world. Our New Investment this year will be providing all of our students with new Samsung computer “Notebooks”so they continue to use this on-line technology from home. This has helped immensely in 2020, but we had to share 3 computers between 25 students. Next year, we hope to provide a computer notebook to each student.

While we have so many extra challenges this year, we celebrate the successes and the positives. Our students and staff are safe and healthy. Our community has been spared from COVID’s infections, and we have a large group of applications to fill 4 available spots in our program. Today is “entrance exam” day for the 12 new applicants, as they nervously hope for an opportunity to join our program. Without your support and help, we wouldn’t be able to provide this coveted enrichment program to these students. We hope you can include us in your end of year giving.
