17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 18 All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. 20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

2 Corinthians 5:17-20

Happy new year!

It’s a great time to start some “new” habits or pick some old ones that we’ve set aside.

One of the most important habits that a disciple of Christ can have is a Daily Time with God.  Having a Daily Time learning the Word, living the Word and loving the Word.  Jesus makes two promises about His in our lives.

"If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.  Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
John 8:31-32 (NIV)

"Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it."
Luke 11:28 (NIV)

Hearing, believing, and keeping the Word is what a disciple does if he or she wants to know God’s blessing.

We’re starting our new year together in worship this Sunday, January 3 at all services.  We using a series entitled, “40 days in the Word,” written by Rick Warren. Workbooks are $10 and they have all you need for daily individual study and for group study.  It is a great way to start the new year – “40 Days in the Word.”

Note:  Beginning July 29, all adults entering the school buildings will be required to wear a face mask and have a temperature check.
Recycle your Christmas Cards!!!!

Remember all those nice Christmas cards which so warmed your heart this season (and those that just brought a much-needed chuckle)?  Now that the season is almost over, you're probably wondering what to do with them...  Unless you save them to look at throughout the year and remember some special people, what's the best use for them?  RECYCLE THEM!!!  We have a lady in the congregation who recycles them throughout the year to share with our military personnel.  Please bring your cards and drop them into the box below the church mailboxes - she'll be thrilled to have so many to share with those who serve our country.
