Swimming Clinic Presented by Paul Newsome
A small group of our competitive Nipper and Youth swimmers were privileged to have been involved in a two hour swim clinic with ‘Swim Smooth’ founder Paul Newsome this week.
Paul is a world-class Swimmer and Triathlete and has won the gruelling Manhattan Marathon – a 47km swim in around Manhattan Island New York. Paul, assisted on a ski by our very own Amanda Nitschke, swam in very cold 14 degree waters to win in around 7 hours.

Proficiency Swim for SLSWA Carnivals
To compete in any of the coming SLSWA carnivals, Woodside Nippers are required to have completed and passed a timed ocean proficiency swim.
If you are planning on competing the any of the coming SLSWA carnivals, Woodside Nippers will need to pass this proficiency. If your name is below, please contact Megan asap so a time can be arranged to complete this ocean swim early in the new year.

SafeWA …. IMPORTANT NEW COVID-19 RULES
As part of the WA Health Department new regulations around COVID-19 safety within our state, we are required to ensure that all members and visitors to our club, who are over the age of 16 register through the SafeWA app, or by signing the manual register EVERY DAY you enter our club.

EOI for Message in Motion: Road Safety Commission Road Safety Campaign
The Message in Motion Road Safety Campaign promotes safe driver habits through key messaging displayed on a vehicle back window. ASLSC and members have an opportunity to be involved in the Message in Motion safety campaign. Which is planned to commence in January for 18 weeks. For involvement in the campaign the driver is paid $25 per vehicle and the surf club $25 per week at the end of the 18-week program. An excellent fund raiser for our club.
