For many, this is a time to pause and take a look back at the past year. You might already know that I’m a big fan of working smarter over working harder. One of the ways I approach this type of mindset is keeping a constant lookout for new ways of working and new tools to work with. As I look back over the numerous finds I made during 2020, here are three that stand out from the crowd.
Bublup
Bublup is a tool that lets you save just about anything in visual folders—PDFs, photos, videos, GIFs, notes, and more. It is one of the most versatile tools I’ve found and enables you to:

I may be a little late to the game on this one, but it is quickly becoming a favorite for getting an online audience active and engaged. They’ve got a lot of great templates for activities that you should check out if you do any online teaching, training or facilitation.
Readable gives you one-click cleanup for cluttered web pages. This one is just a simple bookmarklet, but I use it all the time when I land on any page with lots of ads and other screen junk that gets in the way of reading the actual content.
It only takes a few seconds to set this up. Click the green “Show Setup” button to make a few selections that suit your preferences and drag the bookmarklet into your browser’s bookmark bar. Quick, easy, and sanity-saving!
