Hi, <<First Name>>!

It's Tim Benton.

You know...

Tim...from Tim on Broadway.

Oh, and I also appeared in Building Us and Summerwind Magick.

As Dillon mentioned last week, Rick Bettencourt is having us grace your inbox of the next few weeks to check in and make sure you’re okay.

Your Feedback

Wasn’t Dillon’s email great? We loved your responses.

Here are some that rose to the surface and, as Rick’s scribe this week, our creator’s comments:
  • Tim in Texas – so sorry about your husband ☹
  • Diane F. – there is no luck; we create it (a little Buddhism for ya)
  • Vicki T.- our fur babies stay with us regardless of how long ago they’ve past
  • Keith B. – I just bought extra storage for my Kindle…too much to read!
  • Kate P. – steal away!
  • Robin H. – pneumonia…ugh…sounds like you’re better though
  • Starr – have yet to find anyone as good as you…send your cell
  • Tim H. – as for New England filming, you probably haven’t gotten to Building Us yet
  • Philip C. – Dill and I loved your note

Life on Summerwind

For those of us living on an island, we’re used to isolating. But precautions are heeded, nonetheless. Especially during tourist season. Now, not many visit us. Winter off the coast of Maine is too damn cold!

But we’re still cautious.

Michael and Terrence love the publicity from Rebecca’s Summerwind Inn masks, replete with logo and everything. They’ve appeared in selfies on social media from as far away as Alaska.

Of course, Carolyn—being the Greta Garbo-like celebrity that she is—shied away from the exposure a Carolyn Sohier mask would bring.

(Spoiler alert) Javier and Carrie are doing well. Our little girl is growing fast. Oh, and I just love working as Carolyn’s assistant. She’s amazing. Summerwind is, after all, magical (end of spoiler).

On Diversity

2020 has brought to light the importance of diversity.

Think George Floyd.

…and a divisive political year.

We love that the literary world is finally placing a strong emphasis on equality and inclusivity with rich sets of characters.

I guess Rick was ahead of his time. He’s too humble to mention it himself though. 😊

Who’d a thought LGBTQ fiction would go mainstream.

2021 Reboot

Rick wanted me to let you know 2021’s new edition of Marketing Beef (yes, he’s planning a reboot…actually of all four books) will include a few deleted scenes, one of Julia and me—back when I was fat (great).

We were eating at a table next to Evan and Dillon on their first date at 62 of Salem. Of course, we were stuffing our faces with lava cake and sugary cocktails.

We don’t eat that sh@t no more.

When Julia met Abeo—a real-estate developer who emigrated from Nigeria—she went vegan and lost over 60 pounds. They now live in Newton with a pair of greyhounds and are adopting twins from South Korea.

Anyway, this is longer than Rick wanted me to write.

Happy New Year!

Love,

Tim

P.S. If you haven't read Tim on Broadway, now's the time! It stars me!

P.S.S. Speaking of stars (a solid 4.5 of them!) my book has over 70 reviews on Amazon. Check it out!
