In the final days of this difficult year, I wanted to share an update about our lawsuit against Fordham University. Last week, the NY appellate division court reversed a thorough, well-reasoned ruling by the trial court that Fordham violated its own policies when it refused to recognize a Students for Justice in Palestine club.
It was a pre-holiday blow for our clients - students and former students who are intent on continuing to organize for Palestine on their campus, as the trial court's order last year allowed them to start doing. We've been fighting the University every step of the way since we started representing the students in 2015.
And we won't stop, because the stakes are too high. That's why we need you with us while we appeal the erroneous decision to the highest court in New York, and keep the pressure on Fordham to do what's right and allow students to advocate freely.
