Our Pre-Lenten Retreat is online this year! Join us on Zoom from 9am to 12pm for two days in late January. Spend time together in pericope study of the Gospel texts for Lent. We'll read a contemporary commentary of the upcoming text and then discuss. We will also share ideas of how to creatively worship this Lent in light of COVID-19.
Pastors and lay leaders are encouraged to participate. All are welcome!
Pre-registration is required; cost is $20.
We gathered online for the Pre-Advent Retreat in September as well. As 9 participants gathered, the verse highlighted at the end of their time together speaks words that we all need to hear, "Do not be afraid!" The angel Gabriel says this to Mary in Luke 1:30 as he announces Jesus' birth to her. As pastors and lay people alike, they agreed that there is so much in our world right now that causes fear. The angel Gabriel cuts through all of the fear to give us strength, courage, boldness, and hope when we remember that God has us all in God's loving embrace.
