Grateful for Caring People
At just 6 weeks old he was found by a caring woman who couldn’t leave him behind. She was recently feeding a new cat colony but had not seen this kitten until today. She knew something was terribly wrong. He was lethargic, rail thin, hunched over, trembling, and far too small for his age, likely because has been malnourished and too weak to stand on his own. She scooped him up and took him straight to her local emergency vet where they had a difficult time reading his body temperature because it was so low. He was severely hypoglycemic and showing signs of an upper respiratory infection. He never would of made it on his own for too much longer. This kitten’s guardian angel reached out to a co-worker, who also happens to be a AWLFC foster. We were able to bring him into our foster program immediately and get his needs met right away. He snuggled up in warm towels, in a warm home with plenty of food and the needed medications.
This little one will no longer have to struggle in the cold. We’ll be keeping a close eye on him over the next few weeks as he gains strength and begins to get his life back.
We are SO grateful to be able to help this little orphaned kitten. Thank you for all of your support which allows us to take in harder cases like this kitten.
