Our solar system’s largest planets shine as one
A conjunction happens when planets appear incredibly close to one another in the sky because they line up with earth in their respective orbits.
It’s a great spectacle as well as explaining the unrest and dificult times we are experiencing all over the world, because their combined gravity and magnetism have an influence on the earth and us.
The two planets will converge on Dec. 21. It will be the closest visible conjunction since1226! But you can see it tonight as well as a couple of days later.
You will be able to see them (clouds permitting) just below the moon, they will be lowering rapidly as the sky darkens.
The show will run from sunset to about 6:30 p.m. But the best time to see all three will come about 45 minutes to one hour after sunset against the deepening cobalt blue of evening twilight. Then the Xmas star will go below the horison. In short, look South West at sundown.
To celebrate this event there will be a free online Qigong workshop with Mark at 7pm on Tuesday night 29 December.
