Advent Conspiracy: Love All
John 1:9-14 and Luke 2:11-14

"For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord." - Luke 2:11

The fourth lesson of the Advent Conspiracy is "Love All." At Christmas, God comes to us, love-in-the-flesh, in the form of a tiny baby. In his ministry, Jesus teaches us to love God and love our neighbor, and challenges us to consider how we answer the question: "Who is my neighbor?"

This Advent, we are invited to consider not just "who" we love, but "how" we love. Are we willing to go out of our comfort zones to talk with our neighbors, to listen to them, and to learn from them? Are we willing to embody this love that the infant Jesus represents?

We look forward to exploring these questions with you Sunday as we light the fourth candle of Advent!

God Bless,

Rev. Mary

p.s. Thank you for all who gave "Virtual Poinsettias." We raised $901 for the Tarrant Area Food Bank! Memorials and Honorariums will be listed as a part of Sunday's service.

p.p.s. You are invited to make a special Christmas gift to AHUMC online, in-person on Christmas Eve, or in the mail (4200 Camp Bowie Blvd, 76107). 10% of this year's Christmas offering will go to the Tarrant Area Food Bank. Thank you for your extravagant generosity!

"What does the Lord require of you, but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?" - Micah 6:8

This year's stewardship emphasis is, "Doing What Love Requires." As disciples, we are called to put our faith into action, and the people of Arlington Heights UMC have been doing this for a very long time. Each week during Our Time of Extravagant Generosity, we highlight a ministry that shows members of AHUMC doing what love requires.

Pledge cards have been mailed out and are also available online (click the button, below). Please return your pledge card (or make a pledge online) so our finance committee can finalize our budget for 2021. Thank you!
