Happy Holidays, 2020!

Dear <<First Name>>,

This year has indeed been unique! It has had many challenges, good and bad, and many people are happy to see the end of 2020. On the positive side, having to adapt to a new lifestyle has helped us to grow with the changes we have had to make.

This is how I feel approaching 2021! Our beloved Culinary Historians of Canada have worked very hard to provide content and online events for our members. We have met the challenge of not being able to hold face-to-face events by providing a new YouTube channel and online events through Eventbrite and Zoom.

With this note, we enclose a digital copy of the half-hour video and the recipe handout from CHC's Baking for the Victorian Christmas Table event, held on December 10, as a holiday treat for our Honorary Members. We hope you enjoy them both; they were the result of work by many members, including Sherry Murphy, Liz Truchanowicz, Sylvia Lovegren, Fiona Lucas, Elizabeth Baird, Bridget Wranich, Pat Currie, Meaghan Froh Metcalf, Samantha George, Kate Hill, Julia Armstrong and Sarah Hood.

In closing, I wish you all the best in the holiday season and for the New Year! I hope that by the end of next year, or early into 2022, we are able once again to meet face to face. I’ll look forward to seeing you then!
