LAST WEEK'S EDITION
FROM THE EYE & THE EDIT
BY LAUREN BLACK
All I want for Christmas is (still) for you to forward this to a friend and tell them to subscribe here

How do you celebrate the holidays, when there are no holidays this year? Call your mom. Bake some cookies. Blast Mariah Carey. Watch Elf. Volunteer. Call your grandma. Buy a tree and raid Target for unnecessary home decor. And, of course, dress the part. It's been a year in which absolutely anything goes, so pair diamond earrings with your sweatpants, wear feathery and sparkly and sequin-y tops to sit on your friend's couch, force your sister to dress up for dinner with you, or do whatever you have to do to spread a tiny bit of cheer. And if it's feeling hard to celebrate anything at this point, remember—the year is finally, finally over. If that's not worth popping a bottle of champagne to yourself to, I don't know what is.

The Holidays At Home.
Metallic threads were destined to come back this year—the style is one part elastic, one part festive, and one part 90s trend. The glamorous take on loungewear would be perfect for both a holiday dinner with your parents or "holiday" takeout with your roommates.

The Holidays With Family.
If you're being forced to gather with more of the family than you'd like to after an especially contentious year, wear a mask and this absolutely iconic sweater that they might mistake for an ugly Christmas sweater instead of the cheeky statement that it is.

I would not judge you for reimagining this outfit with oversized sweats and honestly, nothing could be more fitting for the last night of 2020. Either way, add some jewelry for fun. Because you can.
