We just launched Weaviate 0.23.0 🎉! This new version includes major changes, which makes Weaviate independent from third party database services. This new release, also known as Weaviate Standalone, has significant improvements on performance, since there are no longer runtime dependencies. All is now taken care of by Weaviate’s custom vector-first storage system!

You can try out Weaviate Standalone for example with Docker compose, see here.
