When your work gives you life, your life gives you work.
Growing is uncomfortable, there is no way around it. The world, in its constant search for a transaction, has provided us with countless ways of pacifying ourselves from discomfort. In exchange, we relinquish the growth that would have accompanied that discomfort.

At the end of our lives, a palliative approach is necessary. While we are alive, and expect to continue to be so for the foreseeable future, it's a good idea to embrace the natural discomfort that life offers. When we have no frame of reference on how to cope with discomfort we can be afraid of it.

Our society has created generations of people afraid to grow and learn through the natural discomfort of living. Today children can be raised protected from many discomforts. Those uncomfortable moments they're being protected from, however, are the exact things they need to develop and grow.

This week's Recover Yourself Episode addresses our need to be comfortable and how that need has hindered the growth and development of our children. We also talk about how tech companies are utilizing our fear of discomfort to further exacerbate the problem.
