Hope for the New Year

‘Happy New Year!’ is a familiar refrain in January and this time of year is typically a time to reflect and renew. Yet entering this new year, it felt that the refrain should have exclamation and question marks – “Happy New Year !?!?” – to represent both the hope and uncertainty that continue to exist in our world. We acknowledge that 2021 has gotten off to a difficult start and our country is in need of much healing.   More than ever, it is critical that we keep our focus on the what we can do  - remember that hope is a verb – in order to move forward in a positive way.
COVID – a light at the end of the tunnel

“Doubters and naysayers aside, each of us shares with every other human being on the planet the fears, mounting losses, isolation, and at times, shear bewilderment about our individual and collective futures amidst, and beyond, life with coronavirus. In this, we are not alone. In this, we are bound together for common purposes. And, in this we are achieving those purposes.”

Information about the COVID-19 Vaccine A Reminder to START Teams

While START is delivering telehealth services currently, we want to return to normal operations as soon as possible so we can support individuals, families, and communities in the most effective ways. One of the primary ways we will be able to achieve this is through vaccination. It is our shared responsibility to stay abreast of updates in our local communities and how and when to access the vaccine at the earliest possible juncture. You are encouraged to
contact your local health department to ensure that prioritization is given for the people and families you support as well as yourselves.

The Center for START Services wishes all of you a happy and healthy New Year filled with positivity and possibility.
