Christmas this year will be unlike any we’ve experienced before. 2020 has been a year of challenges, resetting our priorities, and adjusting to many lifestyle changes. For some, it has been a year marked by grief and loss, and for others, it has been a season of growth. Many of our closest relationships have taken strain. Whether you’re married, engaged, or dating, it’s likely you’ve faced some difficulties in caring for your most intimate relationship. Instead of succumbing to the chaos, Christmas can be an excellent time to experience joy together.

Refresh your focus and connection with your significant other with these ten simple tips.  Click here to read more from Communio.

Feast of the Holy Family
This feast is celebrated on December 27, and it is a time to honor the family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph. As we gather this year, we can look to Mary and Joseph as models of what it means to live by faith.  We can consider together what makes our family holy as we pray:

Prayer for Families
Loving God, During this holy season of Christmas, we ask for your blessing on all families. Let Mary’s openness to your wondrous ways be an inspiration to place all trust in you. Let Joseph’s courage provide hope during times of anxiety and uncertainty. Let Jesus’ life ignite all families with a spirit of light and love. May the grace that encircled the Holy Family widen to embrace all families. For this we pray. Amen.

And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”
